It's time for the British Soap Awards and we want everyone out there to sign up and vote for all things Coronation Street! Even Canadian fans can sign up and vote! I've done it already, myself. Just be aware, there may be a couple of characters on the ballots that we haven't met yet on our Canadian screens but most of the ones you'll want to vote for are familiar faces and above all, vote for Corrie as best soap!
This is just the first round of voting to select a shortlist of nominees. Voting closes on April 11. Shortlist voting online starts April 18 and will run throught to May 13. You'll hear back from us again when the shortlist comes out!
The following categories have Corrie actors/characters that you can choose:
Sexiest Male: Will Thorp (Chris Gray), Keith Duffy (Ciaran McCarthy), Chris Fountain (Tommy Duckworth...? Presumably he'll actually appear on screen before the awards)
Sexiest Female: Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster), Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), Alison King (Carla Connor)
Villain of the Year: John Stape, Tracy Barlow, Kylie Turner
Best Actor: Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), Michael Le Vell (Kevin Webster), Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) (Tough category to choose here!)
Best Actress: Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), Sally Dynevor (Sally Webster), Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald)
Best British Soap: Coronation Street, of course!

Reading through many backposts today I realize that I really, really have to check in on this blog much more often!!! Some great stuff here that adds to enjoyment and appreciation of the best show ever on telly, bar none!

I've voted!! I was torn between Tracey and Kylie for best villain but I went with Tracey because (a) even though I know what Kyle does I haven't seen you yet and (b) Tracey's picture is just brilliant
