Canadian CBC Corrie schedule for the fall - update

Ok, Canadians, here's an update on the CBC schedule for the fall.

Starting September 5, Coronation Street will be aired from 6:30 to 7:30 in most time zones. The omnibus will be airing on Sunday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to noon in most time zones.

That's great news because we'll catch up at a rate of about a month per calendar month. It's bad news because it makes more work for me doing the Sunday comments! ;)

So excited! Do you think this is for good or will we fall behind again eventually?

I doubt it will be for good once they've caught up as much as they plan to. I have a sneaking suspicion it will just be for the one year and end as the hockey playoffs start. We may get it again over next summer but i think that will be it. My guess, no inside knowledge on this one. At least we'll be a lot closer up to date.

Hi there, Laura here, your
CBC contact and they don't stop Corrie for the playoffs, they air in afternoons and the omnibus continues on Sundays. The higher ups are aware of Corrie's value and don't mess with it.

That's good news Laura, thank you! Sounds like we'll get caught right up to date by this time next year or so!
