Sunday Corrie Comments December 2

Steve is moaning and turning green and i'm with Michelle. He needs to grow up. Rob needs to be less smug, too because he's getting annoying as well. Eva is upset that Rob might fancy Michelle but i thought Eva and Rob split up weeks ago. When did they get back together? Too bad Michelle has to put up with a letch like that client. I don't think a contract is worth it! Turns out Rob really did kind of fancy Michelle. Or at least fancied his chances. I really doubt he's held a torch for her all these years.

Meanwhile, Steve and Eva are racing across the Pennines to confront their partners. How sexist is that, Steve can't get the info from the hotel guy but Eva flashes her cleavage and gets it in one. Michelle clearly knocked Rob back and was completely innocent but Rob took advantage of the waitress fancying him and was most definitely up to rumpy pumpy and got a hard knock in the blocks for his troubles. Steve made an ass of himself as usual but Michelle forgave Steve's insane jealousy and they celebrated with a shag and a bottle of beer. Class.

Rob going on about how little the other woman meant to her doesn't really help how Eva feels, and then him making suggestions to her to jump into bed with him after all.  It just shows he's not really that into Eva. Wouldn't you say so?  Rob may be nursing his wounds but Eva outed his dirty deeds. Was she a woman or a mouse? She was dressed to kill when she took him down a few pegs in front of the others. Wow! Rob isn't happy about all the workers having a laugh at his expense. Tough noogies, buddy. Eva managed to work that situation very much to her advantage.

Eva sure got home from Sheffield quick enough didn't she? And now that Nick helped her and lent her a shoulder Eva's got her sights set on him again and is doing her very best to get in little digs at Leanne's expense, trying to make Leanne look like Nick's less than ideal mate. Thing is, Nick has always loved Leanne and everyone else has come second best. Eva's got no chance.

But she's determined to break up Nick and Leanne and it looks like Kylie's going to help since Leanne has been getting up her nose too. I don't know why Nick is so concerned about staff shouting in front of the customers. It happens all the time in the Bistro! Leanne probably has no right to urge Nick to sack Kylie, either, since she isn't a partner, nor a manager. She's been running the betting shop.

Eva's plan is to urge Nick to propose, knowing Leanne will turn him down and Nick can turn to Eva but Kylie was the one to do the urging, knowing he wouldn't take the suggestion from Eva. Eva pointed out a few truths about Leanne and Peter to Nick and Nick proposed to predictable reaction. Nick's first instinct, when Kylie suggested it, was that it was bad timing. He should have listened to his instinct instead of Eva's words, those words about how much Leanne loved Peter that probably echoed in his mind as he and Leanne rowed on the street. Even though Simon likes Nick and wants Leanne to marry him, Leanne isn't looking like a happy possible fiance is she? She's right about it being too soon but we all know she's only with Nick as an also-ran.

Leanne is distracted but it turns out that her divorce is final and she never told Nick it was even in the works. That's made Nick come over all insecure because you know down deep he never really believed she wanted him, just used him as a backup to Peter. He'll always be the elephant in the room. You could see she was hit hard by the divorce. No matter what Peter's done to her and that she may have wanted it, it's still difficult and Nick can't see that. He sees it as Peter still having a hold over her and you would,  wouldn't you?

Nick proposed, Leanne knocked him back and he goes running to mummy. No wonder Gail's apron strings are tied so tightly. But Kylie feels bad helping Eva because she likes Nick and sees how unhappy Leanne has made him. Oh please don't let Kylie and Nick have an affair! Eva makes sure she is there to soothe Nick's soul. I wonder if Nick really does know down deep that he's second best for Leanne but Eva isn't Ms Right either. Nobody will ever mean as much to Nick as Leanne.

Kylie is feeling like everyone's getting at her and looking down on her. I do love her and David together. She's been the making of him but still, both of them are volatile enough to go off the deep end. She loves her job but David thinks she's spending too much time at work. So much for planning a night in together, though, when work beckons. Laughed at David having a moustache drawn on in permanent marker!! Kylie, so much class. Chugging down wine from a leftover bottle. *from* the bottle. I don't blame Leanne for going off on her for it even if she's not Kylie's boss. She had no right to nearly sack Kylie though. It's all contrived to put a bug up Kylie's nose so she'd help Eva break them up.

And...leaving Kirsty in charge of the factory over someone with more experience? Sally might be annoying but she's got a heck of a lot more seniority and has experience. And Sally wasn't too happy about it either but taking on Kirsty is a bit more than she realizes. Kirsty put her firmly in her place.

At least Tyrone gets to get out of the house and see other people at this parent and baby group. First, Kirsty thought the mom/dad and baby group was a good idea, until she found out it was all young mums and she doesn't like him getting attention like that and seeing the text from one of the mums set her off again. She tried to insist he not go again. Fiz is appalled that Tyrone has to put up with all this. She's urging him to pull back from Kirsty even though she knows that Kirsty is violent. She's texting him and after the palaver over the other mum, you'd think Ty would know better than to sneak out and see Fiz and text her.

Tyrone's troubles really do break my heart. Fiz wastes no time defending Tyrone to Kirsty even though she can clearly see Kirsty's reaction and she knows what could happen. He pushed back and went to he play group after all and Kirsty wasn't too pleased he disobeyed her orders but she didn't hurt him this time. His actions and Fiz's defence earlier and Rob's defence of Fiz as well, all pushed her to take revenge on Fiz and she sabotaged Fiz's sewing machine causing a nasty injury.

Tommy needs to grow up too. Blah blah blah. Tommy has paid Tyrone another chunk of Owen's cash now that Tina's confirmed pregnant. This whole scheme has got to hit the grapevine soon. KEwis is really working Gail isn't he? Flattery, and he's got her doing his laundry as well.

Oh look, we finally get to see Sophie in her therapy sessions, sort of. Well no, just the end of one. I was really expecting the sweaty, struggling Sophie making progress with Jenna urging her on. Sophie's going home and Sally's fussing, as a mother would do.

Beth's birthday and i loved her red tshirt. Everyone seemed to be dressed up in the factory today and everyone seemed to be wearing red aside from Eva.I laughed at Kirk ending up on the Isle of Wight because he'd put the wrong postcode in the SatNav (GPS for us North Americans). As Rob said, he should have realized when he drove past London!

Marcus is with Maria but he's not ready to really go public, is he? He wasn't telling his boss and let her think Maria was just a friend. Can't blame Maria for being hurt. It's a lot more for him to get his head around. I did wonder why the boss hadn't heard of Maria since Marcus has been sharing the flat with her for months. You'd think he'd have mentioned his flatmates before now. You can tell it hurt Maria when Marcus jumped back only the other bus, or so it seemed to her.

I wonder where Mary is? She's supposed to be working for Nick creating theme nights and she's vanished off the cobbles altogether! I really hate this trend for bra straps being very much in evidence. There are such things as strapless bras, Eva sweetie. Mandy is fitting in at the pub nicely and she's planning on overhauling the jukebox and slipping in a bit of Northern Soul and some great classics.
