Eva sees Aidan coming out of the florist and tries to find out who he's bought them for. Tracy won't tell but assures her they weren't for her. Hmm...

Aidan and Eva now own the flat. She doesn't look like she's overly happy. She's starting to get cold feet and have doubts about her plan. Meanwhile, she's had a letter from the doctor about a scan today, because they think she's pregnant too, even though the doctor took her word for it that the drugstore test was positive and didn't do an official test. He wants to go with her so she's going to have to do some fancy footwork.

Leanne was shocked that Steve was serious in his proposal. She can't see his logic, which was in no way romantic of course. They just get on well together. She stormed out to get drunk with her sisters. Toyah and Eva thought Steve's proposal was extremely funny but Leanne, while under the influence, told them all Steve wasn't that bad and then spilled the beans about Eva's faked pregnancy! At least Eva can drink now. Toyah doesn't think Eva's so bad for doing it though. Toyah never trusted Maria after all, not after Maria took her fella years ago. Leanne was defensive with her sisters slagging off Steve so she went home. Steve had taken the baby down to the cab office to talk to Tim who was horrified at the proposal. Addicted to it, that's what he is!

Leanne stopped off for kebabs on the way back to the flat and we discover from Cathy that Brian is a good lover. Way more information that I want to know. But her words about looks not being everything, how it's just as important that you can have a chat, a laugh and a kebab with someone. It's true that it's way better if you're also friends with your lover, that's going to take you a lot further. She said yes to Steve but she was drunk and passed out right after.

Leanne's hung over. You can tell what she's thinking, did I just agree to marry Steve Flamin' McDonald? She got out of the flat long before Steve got up, having overslept and missed her. He confessed right away to Liz that he proposed, she got drunk and then said yes. Across the road, Eva and Toyah have made up over the fake pregnancy. Leanne shows up and both sisters know something's up. She does remember, she's pretty sure she said yes. She thinks. Now what? Mutual awkward texting. These scenes did have me chuckling, the pair of them. Steve thinks liking each other might be better than the heat of passion. Perhaps he's right. Propose properly is Liz's advice.

Leanne's further freaked out when she suspects Steve is buying her a ring and Amy's not best pleased to overhear that, too. But Amy seems ok with the idea when she thinks about it. She tells Simon and the whole lot of them are on the street when Steve and Liz get back. Steve launches into the weirdest proposal I've ever heard. I don't love you and you don't love me, it might work? Most people don't seem to think it's such a bad idea. Even Tracy was somewhat complimentary but had an insult at Leanne's thin-ness and the small size of the ring just to make sure nobody thought she was turning over a new leaf.

Gail found out pretty quickly and she wasn't slow to try to dig the knife in but her questioning Steve for all his failed marriages only got it thrown back at her. They're neck and neck in the wedding sweepstakes.

Leanne defends her decision to Eva, though she can't really honestly say she fancies Steve. She does think he's cute. He's got his good points and she thinks there's a spark there. Meanwhile, Amy's written a vaguely disguised short story about a man with six wives who ends up with the forth one. Oddly enough, Steve's fourth wife is Tracy. Tracy finds it odd that Steve and Leanne haven't had sex yet. Really, though, as Leanne pointed out to Eva, when was there the opportunity? Tracy thinks they need to get it on and don't waste time, make sure it's going to work.

Over in the pub, Toyah is cleaning up and getting ready to open while Eva takes her tea break there, very much affronted by the whole flower thing. Neither of them seem to think Leanne and Steve will last very long. Steve is determined, and he's going to buy his weight in flowers. Toyah observed that Steve and Leanne are friends, not lovers. I think she's nailed it on the head. Sometimes, trying to be lovers could ruin a perfectly good friendship.

Steve and Leanne decide to have a romantic evening with fizzy wine and soft music. He's squirting mouth freshener and she's chugging the wine. Both of them are nervous. The wine seems to do it's job and they end up having a great chat and a laugh. A kiss does not go unreturned though they're a bit awkward. But suddenly, we can hear Oliver crying. Aidan is bringing him back home because he won't stop crying and he worried something was wrong. Leanne takes the baby but Steve takes him from her and starts singing and jostling his son. Leanne watches them fondly.

But they still seem quite awkward with each other. Even Liz, after thinking it was a good idea, can see there isn't a lot of chemistry there. She thinks even moreso when she finds that they haven't slept together since the engagement which was all of 5 minutes ago. Steve has another go at his mother while she's at work about her opinion on his sex life. With a queue forming behind him, you know Liz is going to come into grief from Moira and that's exactly what happens. Well if Steve doesn't want everyone talking about his sex life, he shouldn't be arguing with his mother in public about it!

Phelan left Nicola sitting and waiting and never showed up. Where did he get to? He's having an attack of conscience and has gone to a confessional in a church. He confirms the priest can't tell anyone, but he can't quite get out the words about the bad things he's done and it's something he's still doing. What could that be? There is that unexplained black eye and other absences. Hmmm. Can he make this up to Nicola? He didn't admit to Eileen why he seems to have had a crisis but he clearly did.

The double date with Will and Maria was very awkward. I think Michelle only thought it would put Maria at ease to ensure she knew there was no bad feelings but she was backbiting with Robert and the tension was thick at that table. Solution? Remove yourself and drive Maria and Will into town. While waiting, Will flattered Maria and kissed her, much to the amusement of Gemma and Cathy watching. Later, Michelle sat in a bar and had a drink but someone was watching her and her drink. The next time we see Michelle, she's coming round in a dark place, bound and gagged. The boot of a car, hers?

We know Michelle is stuck in the trunk of her car but she's not come home all night and Robert is frantic and still leaving messages for her. She's freaking out, too, making lots of noise. I'm really surprised nobody has heard her since last evening in a city centre parking garage with people coming and going. Really. I've been in Manchester parking garages and you're lucky if you can even find a space to park. Whoever it is that took her stuck the car in a reserved spot and the owner of that will be wanting it back. Not to mention they're all wired for CCTV. Finally, someone finds her, someone that has no trouble at all opening the lid of the trunk even though they don't have a key. Yabbut Michelle's hands are tied, ok? That's why she didn't even try to find the little latch that's supposed to be inside these things in case someone gets trapped inside. (at least, I think they have these latches)

Next time we see her, she's in the police station and she's a hot mess, as you would be. She remembers very little after having just the one drink that went to her head. Drugged obviously. Maybe she was raped, she's too scared at first to have the examination, which is pretty stupid but She did go through with it after all. I'm no fan of Michelle but I have sympathy for her on this one. It's a terrifying prospect, knowing you were drugged and you have no memory of what was done to you while you were out. Robert is pretty sure Rich is the one that's guilty except Rich has an alibi. He gets warned not to take matters into his own hands so that's exactly what he does.

Later, Maria and Will are both in the flat checking up on her and they stay while he's off beating the crap out of Rich. Michelle thanked him! She won't thank him when he's in the nick. Rich had him charged! So he's let her down yet again even though she was ok with what he did. Later we see Maria on the phone with Will who wants to come over and keep them safe. But he's got a familiar keyring, the one Michelle described as hers, with the diamante M on it. WILL was the one that kidnapped her. While he was on a date with Maria. Talk about a Jack of All Trades!

Johnny is going to take Michelle to the court for Robert's bail hearing. We find out Robert is pleading guilty. Will slides over to her and squeezes her shoulder to assure her they're all there for her. Oh, heck, knowing he's the one while nobody else does is going to make watching this a continual string of angry "You Ratbag" exclamations, right?

Robert did get bail. Michelle is a bit upset that he could go to prison. He defends himself and Will looks disgusted as Michelle hugs and kisses him. He implies that the solicitors in court could bring out the suggestion that Robert is a danger to Michelle as well (thus, he's hoping, planting a similar seed in Michelle, no doubt). She thinks that's stupid because he was defending her. The police arrive. The examination has proven that there was no sexual assault. That's something anyway. She was drugged with rohypnol, a common date rape drug. Robert is still insisting it's Rich, somehow. He's covered his tracks. Michelle insists she doesn't blame Robert and is glad he beat up Rich. Maria goes to make drinks, joined by Johnny and Will who is surprised Michelle isn't screaming at Robert, exactly what he hoped would happen, obviously.

Michelle has heard about Steve and Leanne but she's more concerned with maybe finding one of those wearable alarms around her neck. She's a wreck and I can't blame her. Robert is upgrading the security system at the Bistro and at the flat. But she takes matters into her own hands later and comes into work, determined to face the world but she's also relieved when Robert suggests a few days away in Brighton.

I found it very wrong that Erica completely disrespected Mary, putting her down and telling her to pack her bags, assuming Dev will take her back, I guess and she'll have the influence over him that will make that happen. Erica admitted she was bored but she also admitted she loved Dev and you don't play games with other men just because you're bored. Molly Dobbs did that and look where that ended up. Mary outed her near fling with Kevin and it caused Dev throw Erica out but she was on the verge of leaving him for weeks. Mary obviously told Sally and Gina about Erica being nasty and Gina took matters into her own hands. She kissed Dev and told him what happened. He was devastating to Erica! That skin tight red dress didn't get her very far with him though apparently it's taking her all the way to Spain without even a goodbye to her best friend Liz.

Dev got tipsy and appreciated Mary having his back. It cracked me up that apparently he has a secret stash of presumaby "adult" dvds which came out when he was told the kids picked out his favourite dvd and he thought that was a bit inappropriate. Mary mutters "not from the secret stash"! Gina found out that Dev was single and she's wasting no time putting herself on a plate for him, texting him later to meet up soon!

The law firm is open for business formally with a little soiree to impress potential clients. Todd gets the job of rustling up some background punters, some can't resist the lure of free nibbles and some would rather eat glass, I think.

Rosie is getting tired of cleaning windows, mainly because the overalls make her look "blah". I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did. She's off to do the windows for the law firm and discovered they're hiring a PA. She wants the job but Todd doesn't think she has any experience. Even though she didn't mention it, she does have experience. She was Carla's PA for awhile. I know she's a scatterbrain but surely she remembers? She took matters into her own hands and told the potential interviewee all sorts of scary lies. Didn't get her very far. Gail found out too and she has experience. She's brushing off the CV and will have it in tomorrow. Oh dear.

Meanwhile, a CV from what seems to be a good candidate, called Elle Woods, comes dinging in. just after Rosie was looking for wifi to send an email. Could it be? Of course it could. It also mentioned being a PA in the fashion industry so perhaps her memory has come back. The next day, Todd seems to find the name Elle Woods familiar but can't quite place it. A pair of high heels and long legs come into the office and it's Rosie!

They still aren't willing to give her a chance but a client comes in and Rosie takes over, making her feel right at home, while I'm hollering "You worked at Underworld!" at the screen. She seems intent on helping this woman prove that her husband is cheating though Adam and Todd try to put that idea aside. They aren't private detectives. The client decides to rethink her options and leaves. Adam and Todd tell her they won't hire her.

Rosie has a plan. She's going to spy on the house where that potential divorce client lives. She sees a woman standing out at a bus stop that just happens to be in front of the house. When the client drives away, the woman slinks away and into the house! I guess the client was right! But Rosie has to delete a load of selfies from her phone to have the space to take some incriminating pics first. Even though she got caught, she finessed the unfaithful husband like a pro! What a great scene!

Gary's still struggling without a job and he's very defensive. He and Sarah enjoy the law firm party and the booze and then he gets an offer for a temporary job. But he goes anyway, even though he's had a couple of drinks, because it could lead to more. And makes the mistake that he should have known not to make, faffing with his phone while on the scaffolding holding an armfull of gear. There's a reason why it's illegal to text and drive. Text and doing any sort of physical work is the same thing. Down he goes. At least he's wearing a hard hat. But he doesn't have his own liability insurance. That means he won't have that job for long.

He actually consults Adam about "a mate" but he's not fooled. Gary doesn't have insurance and is told he's going to have to cough up for the damages and it could be thousands! But Sarah wants to put a deposit on the flat, with help from Gail and Audrey and Gary refuses. Gary went to the building site and is mucking in clearing the mess. He has to admit he's not insured. The boss is furious and tells him the damages are going to cost 10 thousand or more. Gary offers to work for free but is fired.

Gary is moaning at Izzy about getting fired. Phelan comes in and overhears and he's already heard that Gary has ticked off "Don", one of the worst ones to mess with. Phelan continues to wind up Gary who finds a business card for his friend Joe, the one that had security jobs in the Ukraine, remember? Outside, Phelan chucks little Harry under the chin and makes sure Sarah knows that Gary has lost his job. He walks away looking pleased with himself.

So now Gary is determined to go to the Ukraine and work for Joe so he can make some much needed money. It's a dangerous job but he needs the money. Gary is needed for a few weeks in Odessa. He finds out later that Sarah knows he lost his job. He tells her he's got a job in Hamburg with his father. A few weeks only, good money. Sarah tells him she just wants him to be safe and we know he could be walking into a war zone of sorts. He sorts out all the arrangements with Joe though one of the things Joe points out is a suggestion that Gary have a will in place. He's got another problem, though. Sarah thinks it might be fun to come over for a few days to stay with him. How's he going to get out of this?

Summer and Billy got on building their robot then they took it to Todd. Baby bonding steps! I see Liz got hold of Erica by phone and gave her hell for leaving without a word. Good.

Chesney is due back to work and jumps out of his skin when she jumps him on the street. I don't think he's looking forward to going back to work but he does with the welcome from Gemma and even Fiz who's come to see him through the door. Dev tells Chesney he wants to expand, have a string of kebab shops and he wants Chesney to take the journey with him! But a few rowdy lads in the kebab shop just as Gemma's leaving end up causing Chesney to run out in a panic attack with their good natured and drunken aggression and a broken bottle. He staggers into the medical centre and collapses!

Daniel make some inquiries of Sinead to see how Chesney was, and expressed dismay that she could even think he could do something like that. It's all very awkward but Fiz, watching from across the street, doesn't really see that. Sinead is already in her bad books from letting Ches down before. This isn't going to help her cause.

Sinead gets a sexy pink corset from Alya but Fiz sees it and her suspicions are pretty evident. She confronts Sinead who says she's just trying to make the effort with Chesney.
