There's a good interview with Corrie newcomer Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel Osbourne in Coronation Street, in this week's Inside Soap magazine.
Rob answers questions that have been sent in by fans. He says he had three auditions for the part of Daniel and that he'd love to see Denise Black back on the show as Daniel's mum Denise (so would we!).
He reveals that the best bit of advice that's been given to him so far came from Bill Roache, who told him never to turn into a diva. Rob would to work more scenes with Norris and he shares a dressing room with Connor McIntyre (Pat Phelan), Peter Gunn (Brian), Richard Hawley (Johnny Connor).
He also says that in real life he's a bookworm too.

I wonder if Bill Roache recognizes the irony in advising anyone not to be a diva, considering his past, when the show was first becoming very popular.
