Coronation Street's 63 barmaids - can you name them all?

(This post was originally posted by Flaming Nora on the Coronation Street Blog January 2018, reposted to this blog with permission.)

The Daily Mirror have a double page spread today (pages 14 and 15 if you're interested) with pictures of 63 of the barmaids who have worked in the Rovers Return.

It's a nice tribute to Doreen Keogh, who has passed away aged 91.

Doreen played the first of the Rovers barmaids Concepta Riley in the show.

You can check out all of the Rovers barmaids here.

Christmas Carols - Coronation Street style

(This post was originally posted on the Coronation Street Blog December 2017, reposted to this blog with permission.)

It's a cold and dark afternoon before Christmas. What better time then to sit down and have a think about how Coronation Street might do Christmas carols.  Wassailing in Weatherfield, anyone?

Here are some of my favourites, but if you think you can do better (and you will, I'm sure, some of mine are very bad...) then let me know in the comments below.

Oh, Come All You Faithful

Once in Royal David Platt's City

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen

The Holly and the Ivy
It's hard to know which was the most prickly!

We Three Kings

While (Jack P) Shepherd(s) Watched Their Flocks By Night

A Wayne in a Manger

Ding Dong Merrily on High

Oh Little Town of Weatherfield

If you can think of any more, do please leave them in the comments and I'll add the best ones into the blog post!

And if you like that sort of daft thing, you might also like these!
