Back after a brief hiatus...

Saved by the bell, so to speak. David was on the edge of confessing until Sean ran in and told them Kylie was in labour. And it's mass confusion with Kylie in hard labour and in high sarcastic mode. Loved it! Gail delivered the baby, her own grandchild either way. (who was massive! No 3 week preemie there!) Gail is beside herself, though, the big secret weighing heavy. Here comes the pressure on Kylie to have the DNA test. They don't know that David knows everything but does he want to know if it's his baby or will he be happy pretending? Gail nearly let it slip when they were talking about what might happen with Nick until Kylie cut her off.

Meanwhile, Gail keeps looking daggers at Kylie over a DNA test every time they clap eyes on each other. That's getting old quickly. Kylie just doesn't want to know.  What's Tina going to do? She did take one look at that baby and it seemed like she'd have second thoughts about busting up the little family. Max might help her though, seeing as he looks a bit green-eyed over the baby these days.

Tim must have been the life of the party because when he left, Sally got all moody. For all the trying Steve and Michelle did trying to get away, they didn't manage it, did they! Hayley and Roy's arrival sparked the fire between Sally and Anna and it all blew up from there with ketchup everywhere and the fence on the ground. Everyone left the mess for Sally to clean up! Then there's the hangover and the aftermath to deal with. She can't even face the factory bees!  Tim made up for it by asking Sally on a date and she's all happy again.

Roy was not all that surprised that Sylvia couldn't take the pressure of Hayley's illness. So much for that new found relationship. He wasn't happy about the barbeque but I can't blame him there. He's still fussing over Hayley a bit, too.  Hayley's trying to stay busy and Roy is worried she's doing it for him. At this point, she's feeling well so she probably is putting on a front.

Roy is already setting up a schedule for people visiting Hayley in hospital. Typical Roy. But Hayley knows how to handle him, gently. But he also knows how to treat Hayley special and organized a lovely meal for her in the cafe for their anniversary. They really are the most special couple, aren't they? Poor Roy fusses but how can you not? It has to be so difficult for him wanting to coddle her and keep her safe when he knows he can't. She's still trying to keep his relationship with his mother on the up and up, too, still trying to fix things.

I laughed at Roy's book snobbery. Lovely little scene with Carla while Hayley was out shopping. Poor Eileen is really feeling down. Well you would, having gone through everything she went through with Paul.

Chesney really doesn't want to be around Katy does he? He looked scared to death at the prospect of "something more comfortable" so he pretended to be too tired. Next he invites Tyrone and Fiz (presuming they must have got a sitter) to tea when he knew Katy wanted to have a special night in. What an awkward dinner party that was. Seems like Katy has it figured out and that's that. She's gone for good now and i don't think Chesney is too sorry other than having Joseph gone again. He's moaning that he lost Katy. He would have had her back if he wasn't so single minded.

Michelle really is getting greener by the day with Peter gaining fans in the factory at the rate of knots. She figures she's doing all the work and he's sucking up to the staff. Steve bought her flowers, he should have brought them into the factory for her. I'm sure Peter is pulling his weight but right now he's got to learn the business so it seems to me Michelle wouldn't be doing any more work than she was before.

Stella still thinks they ought to put off the wedding because of Nick. It could very well be cold feet, though. We finally meet the infamous Tez. Just as much of a gormless, feckless fella as Karl, I think. Naturally Stella will be talked round but Jason sure enjoyed it when he overheard them talking about the possible non-wedding. It's a bit tacky for Karl to be discussing his wedding woes with Dev, the man whose wife he shagged and then killed. Well, Leanne gave her approval so the wedding's on and so is the stag do.

Karl was all help and paternal over Craig, to Kirk's gratitude. Jason kept rattling Karl's cage until Karl exploded and roughed Jason up. Showed his true colours and raised Jason's radar. Big mistake, though, admitting he torched Jason's van.  Even though Dev didn't want to hear Jason's suggestion, it can't be unsaid and Jason isn't going to let it go.

Karl keeps trying to make light of Craig's worries. If he really was responsible, making it into a shallow thing, that's very callous. Bribing the lad might hold him off temporarily and further pressure is adding to it but Craig is very troubled and Karl is reinforcing it which is a mistake because he's only a kid and he's going to crack.
