Jennie says she's pleased to be doing this storyline because of the feedback and messages from parents and families, some of whom have children going through the same disease as Hope.
Jennie says she has met some incredible people because of the story who are saying thankyou to her for Corrie raising the issue of childhood cancer.
Jennie has visited the Royal Manchester children's hospital and there's a short clip of her on one of the wards interviewing some of the staff and poorly children.

Watching Hope's illness unfold has been difficult for me as my son had childhood leukemia when he was 14. So far they have done a terrific job of showing the emotions involved at such a life changing time. When Fiz and Tyrone laughed walking into the hospital with Hope because Roy's driving was so awful it really hit me hard...there are times when it is possible to laugh even in such diversity. Well done Corrie! This subject is not one that is easy to watch but raising awareness is a positive step.
