Corrie Canada weekly awards for Jan. 8 - 12

Marvel Universe Channeling Award: Were the stags trying to channel The Hulk with the all green wardrobe and complete skin coverage in green? And what on earth was that posing freezeframe thing they were all doing?

Not-Corrie-New-Year's Fail: One small scene in the pub on New Year's Eve and that was pre-party. Everything and everyone else was at the Bistro, even people like Audrey and Maria who you'd think would be at the pub with old friends. It felt very strange not seeing the countdown in the Rovers.

Foreshadow award: Carla needs a transplant, best coming from one of her relatives. I have a bad feeling about this.

Misplaced accusations award: Phelan blamed Seb for losing them the roofing job at the factory when it was the loss of the deal with the Parkers that actually did that.

What are the odds awards: Two little wire houses turn up on the same day, houses that the late Andy used to make, both found in locations connected to Pat Phelan, as it happens.

Lines of the week:
Brian to Roy "Cathy has knocked your buns off the top spot"
Roy to Carla "I won't stand by and watch someone else I love die" R
oy "Carla.." Carla "Just don't tell me I'm being stupid" Roy "Will you stop finishing my sentences!"
Cathy "Brian, are you a man or are you a mouse?" (can I answer that?)
Carla "I'm not sure how this is going to work. A man who can't lie looking after a woman who does nothing but?" Roy "I'm sure I could lie if the circumstances required it"
Daniel "I'm here to bury the hatchet" Chesney "What, in me head?"
Robert "Any chance of a word?" Michelle "That depends. Does this word sound anything like Sorry?"

I suspect the stag party was dressed up
as toy soldiers, and the party game was to
freeze frame into a scene when the groom
said certain names. Eric obviously meant
the floor was lava and you had to leap off
it or take a dead time out.

anyone who played with those toy green soldiers
would recognize them in an instant.

Whereas the hen party was roaring 20's Flappers
(not slappers).

Obviously not Disney fans, lol! The green army men are from Toy Story. They had to freeze each time humans were heard. I thought it was really cute that they both came up with themes for their parties. The girls looked gorgeous in their slapper, I mean flapper (haha, that was perfect) get ups.
