Corrie Canada weekly awards Aug. 11 - 15

Selfie Win!

Traditional award: Gail thinks she's traditional and kind of boring.

Schemers never prosper: Dennis always resorts to schemes and they always blow up in his face.

Musical ambiance: "You were always on my mind" to Gail and Michael's budding romance.

Called on the carpet award: Loved Gail looking Nick in the eye and reducing him to a quivering guilty worm!

Hogwash Award: Any debate that causes Roy to use the term Hogwash will inevitably have me cheering from my sofa!

Mirror award: Yasmeen thinks Kal has walked into a hurricane, being with Leanne. I think that's rather a case of finding a woman that reminds him of his mother. Happens a lot, both ways.

Shapeshifter award: When did Amy morph into Tracy? Mind you it's not that much of a surprise, is it?

False sympathy award: Deirdre is worried about Ken coming back to a firestorm that he didn't know was sparking up. Worried that he hasn't got a clue what he's walking into... Who's fault is that, hmm?

Sunbed award: Peter's looking like he's spent all summer out on a boat or on a farm, judging from the (natural) tan he seems to have aquired behind bars.

Elephant in the room award: Yep, Deirdre stalled and put off telling Ken all the things he missed until someone else did!

Lines of the week:
Rita to Julie "You're a romantic" Julie "You make it sound like a dirty word."
Steph "There's plenty more fish in the sea" Nick "I must be using the wrong bait"
Gail to Nick "You're supposed to be a grown up" and "The only fool round here is the one who chucked my rockery through his window"
Audrey "You can forget Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, why don't you try con man, serial killer and death-faker"
Nick "Persistency is not next to Godliness"
Gail to Nick "Now we're both miserable"
Mary about Roy's and her friendship "Rock solid friendship hewn from granite" (was that before or after you tried to scupper their wedding?)
Lloyd "Am I dreaming or did Norris Cole just accuse me of gossiping?"
Tracy "Do I look like I was born yesterday?" Maddie "Not even a little bit" (Maddie 1 Tracy 0)
David "That wasn't a holiday, it was an endurance test"
Ken "This place never changes" (You might want to sit down)
Tracy to Deirdre "You're griddling while Rome burns."
