Steph and Andy - Coronation Street's best couple?

(This post was originally posted by Flaming Nora on the Coronation Street Blog September 2016, reposted to this blog with permission.)

It's always the quiet ones, the unassuming ones, the characters in the background on a slow burner that you want to see more of. And at the moment, it's Steph and Andy - Coronation Street's best couple by far.

Robert has no idea how much of a little gem he's got working for him in the form of Steph. Andy, well, he plays his part too!  But the pair of them together are keeping the Bistro going, holding the place steady while Robert and Nick rock it from side to side, threatening to throw everything overboard.

I've long been a fan of Steph and it's only recently that I think the pairing of her with Andy is really starting to work.  I'm loving these two together.  And if Andy's zombie-fest party is anything to go by the other night, we've got a lot to look forward to with this unassuming Corrie couple.

I like this pairing, mainly because Steph is one of the few younger female characters who actually seems like she has ambition or wants to go somewhere. Andy just seems to kind of plod along but I do like their dynamic. We've only seen them as a couple on a superficial level hopefully they will give them a meatier storyline together. I'm not sure if this is the direction that they are going, but she seems to be more successful than he is and it might be getting to him. That could be an interesting dynamic.

I like this couple as well. I love Steph even though she can be a bit over mouthy at times. Andy (well the actor) did such a good job as a troubled soul when he pretended to be Michael's son and then became so fond of his "dad". Great story line. Please no more breakups for a bit. I hope these 2 stay together and Kirk and Beth work things out. Not everyone has to split when the going gets tough.
