Coronation Street storylines in top greatest soap moments

Three Coronation Street storylines have been voted in the top five greatest soap moments of all time.

Kat Slater being revealed as Zoe's mum in 'Stenders was voted in at first place.

In 2nd place was Richard Hillman driving the Platt family into the canal in Coronation Street came second in the poll.  Relive the Hillman horror story here - from start to watery end.

In 3rd place was Hayley Cropper's cancer battle and subsequent death in 2014.

In 4th place was 'Stenders again with Dirty Den getting shot in 1989

In 5th place was the Corrie tram crash in 2010.

John Sewell, spokesman for paid survey site OnePoll.com which commissioned the research, said:

"There have been many brilliant and gripping storylines over the years - whether they are tearjerkers like the moment Hayley died in Coronation Street or high drama like the live tram crash. Soaps are a huge part of our culture and these results show the storylines are remembered years after they are first screened."

Other Coronation Street storylines to feature in the top 20 include Tyrone suffering domestic abuse at the hands of partner Kirsty and Mike Baldwin dying in rival Ken Barlow's arms on the cobbles.
