Though there are some things, that are bugging some fans (including me) at the moment, there is a lot that I do like about the show now. First off, there is Kylie '2.0', who seems to have grown more of a personality since her first appearance last year, Paula Lane who plays her proved herself a great actress in the live episode, so I'm sure we'll start to see more sides to Kylie as she settles down.
Some people won't like this one, but I actually like Tracy Barlow at the moment too, she seems to have been toned way down since Claire bashed her on the noggin. In the past few episodes she has been paired with gossip merchant Norris Cole, as they both discuss the latest gossip over the bar. Then there is Chesney, an under used character for many years who looks to be finally getting a storyline, it's good to see there's at least one good smart lad on the Street.
Characters like Rita, Audrey, Eileen and Julie all get much, much more screen time these days too. I've loved little character scenes such as Lloyd and Cheryl redecorating Streetcars, with Lloyd doing his best to save the beloved chair.
My only suggestion for the show is there needs to be much more consistency, its happened a few times over the past year that a character has a totally different opinion than in the last episode - which wouldn't be so bad if we saw them change their mind (which I always presume happens off-screen), but it's just the way it seems to change without warning. Also, the number of 'big' storylines needs to be lowered, I love big dramatic events in Corrie, but they're getting way too common now.
