Tyrone's house - Museum or home?

(This post was originally posted by Chewy on the Coronation Street Blog in July 2014.)

Tyrone's accident this week came as a bit of a shock, but not for the reasons you might think, the most shocking part was that Tyrone is finally redecorating his house, meaning it will finally look more like his house and less like the Duckworth's house.

For a long time the No.9 has remained in something of a timewarp, it hasn't ever really felt like the house belongs to Tyrone, all of Jack and Vera's furniture is still around, and the cladding still looks the same as it did ten years ago.

It makes sense that Tyrone would want to remember Jack and Vera, but until now it has felt like the house is a museum of dedicated to them, rather than an actual home. I hope that with the renovations to the house, it will finally stop being 'The Duckworth's house' and finally become The Dobbs house.

It was wallpapered at one point but the change wasn't for the better . Did he do it for Kirsty ? I've forgotten.
Also, remember when they made plans to remove the cladding but found it was going to be too expensive ?
