New ITV documentary to honour Corrie's Barbara Knox

ITV will celebrate Barbara Knox's 50th anniversary on Coronation Street with a new documentary.

The 60-minute special Rita & Me will look back on  Barbara's most memorable moments playing Rita on Coronation Street. It will include interviews with her Corrie cast members and friends.

Knox has earned an MBE from Queen Elizabeth II and British Soap Lifetime Achievement Award throughout her career.

Rita & Me will air on ITV in December.

(If this does air in Canada, we'll be sure to let you know! A recent group of Canadians on a tour out of Halifax were allowed to be present during the filming of some of this documentary and spoke to Barbara Knox for a short time, as well!)
