Steve McDonald's donkey returns to Coronation Street

The official Coronation Street website has preview clips of Steve McDonald's return to Corrie next week.  We'll see Steve return from Spain tonight - and it's not a moment too soon. I've really missed him, have you?

As you can see from the picture above from the preview clip, Steve returns with a straw donkey in tow. 

It's much like the straw donkey that Steve has been seen with on the show in the past.  But I can't for the life of me remember why he had the straw donkey in the cab office and what he was doing with it. If anyone can fill us in on the mystery straw donkey from the picture below, do please!
