Sunday Comments Feb. 10

The shock echoes through the church while Kirk moans "This is not the way i imagined it last night". Could anyone? Fiz is tearful. Kirsty hopes they are miserable together. Fiz tries to get Tyrone to tell the truth about Kirsty but Kirsty  has the upper hand. Tyrone refuses to admit the abuse and desperately tries to get Kirsty to forgive him and marry him. She's got the baby in her arms and says she never wants to see him again and he'll not see the baby either. Kirsty drills the bouquet down the aisle directly at Fiz.

Julie tries to be supportive of her friend and Kirsty is completely flummoxed as to what to do next. Tyrone has gone home to find Kirsty but she's not there, not yet. Kirk and Kevin try to calm him down but he's not to be calmed. Kevin tries to find out what's up, trying to be a mate but he's horrified to hear of Tyrone's plan. He reckons you can stand up to a bully but Tyrone admitted the truth and Kevin believes him but Tyrone won't go to the police and he feels hugely guilty and has lost the baby anyway.  Nice stuff with Kevin though, in spite of all that went on between them, now that they've put the past in the past, Kevin and Tyrone can still be friends.

In the end, Kirsty goes home to face Tyrone and it looks like she's gearing up for another attack. Tyrone is scrambling. He was lying about Fiz to Kirsty but it was no use. She knew better so he admitted it all. The photos as evidence, but zip, deleted. Surely it's like a computer, though, deleted files can be recovered sometimes. He finally stood up to her, told her why and when he fell out of love with her. Calling her bluff.  But she won't let him take Ruby. Except the row went up the stairs and she went over them and crashing down.

Naturally, everyone thinks the worst and Kirsty backs them up. She's determined to punish Tyrone and if it can't be physically, she can get him in even deeper trouble. It's harder for people to believe that she abused him yet people that have known him for years should know better, shouldn't they? She has the system down pat and really worked it.

Tyrone is in jail! Kirsty worked that one just perfectly didn't she? And all over the U K there were Free Tyrone Dobbs signs! Excellent stuff! Why does everyone think that, if they aren't family, they'll be able to find out any information at the police station or hospitals, especially someone like Fiz who's been on the other side of it. tsk. And nobody believes Tyrone is the victim, either, people that should know better. He's not doing himself any favours, shouting at the police.

I can maybe give Julie an excuse, she's fairly new in the neighbourhood but people like Eileen should have known better. Eileen and Deirdre's stories are just circumstantial but damning but Tina and Tommy tried their best but it's their word against Kirsty's with no further proof. Bruises aren't proof if you don't see how it's done. Norris earwigs when Tina tells Fiz that Tyrone is trying to get Social Services to set up a visit with Ruby for him. Why on earth they didn't walk across the road to talk, I don't know because now they have to put up with his snide comments against the formerly good reputation of Tyrone. Julie adds to Norris' arguments, though, spouting all Kirsty's defences and accusations. Finally Fiz and Tina go somewhere private to talk.

Sally's blinders are on firmly. She reckons Jenna has abused her position of trust. She hasn't really but she also should have backed off and stayed backed off when she realized how Sophie felt, even more so if she found herself feeling the same thing. Remember how Vera had such a nasty tongue at times? I think Sally's inherited it. Mandy really isn't taking Jenna's revelations well. People might call this homophobia but I think it's fairly realistically played. Mandy has got a shock and it takes time to get your head around it. I've no doubt she'll accept Jenna but I don't think she'll ever accept Sophie since Sophie was the one that caused Jenna to lose her job. It also sounds like Jenna herself is still coming to terms with being gay.  At least Lloyd is supportive. He went to the hearing as well and was there when the decision came down.

Tina has a little baby bump. Oooh we've got a new grown up Hope! I was just thinking of her the other day, she'd be more than 2 now!

Back at the pub, everyone is buzzing with the gossip, naturally. Michelle fills Carla and Peter in on the finger stitching episode. Michelle is still upset that Rob has a share in the factory. Eileen tells everyone she could hear them rowing through the wall and Deirdre remembers the back yard row and scuffle. Sally won't believe Tyrone is capable but Sally swings with the wind and loyalty to friends means nothing. She'll have changed that defence in minutes. Kirk wants to say his speech because he worked so hard on it. Gary and Izzy take Fiz home and she has to explain it to Chesney who's confused but believes her. But what a mess they're all in! Little brother has to comfort big sister. Fiz is in knots worrying, not knowing what's going on and feeling guilty and thinking Tyrone is angry with her and that's the last thing that would happen. It's too bad most of her friends believe Kirsty not Fiz. And as I figured, Sally's loyalty flip flopped and a lot of the others, though they've known him for years, assume the worst with circumstantial evidence.

Rob tries to get the low down on Tracy. He's heard stories from Michelle. Has he heard how she killed Charlie? Probably if Michelle has had anything to do with it. Steve doesn't tell him and you'd think he would and Steve realizes Rob is intrigued and thinks it would be good for Tracy to be distracted from  him but Steve is a nice guy and doesn't want to purposely inflict Tracy on anyone. Tracy probably left her wallet in the car on purpose. They call her and she keeps them waiting while she burns up purchases on her spare credit card. Who does that? Keeps a credit card in their pocket outside their wallet? Well, someone that's manipulating the situation, that's what. And how does she pay for the credit card bills? She probably only gets single mum benefits and child support. No job. Rob? You're the one that decided to skip the meeting and give her back her wallet when Steve could have done it.  *And* she talked Rob into putting her bags in the car and later "lets" him buy her a drink.  Mate, she's already got you dangling on a string! If you're that stupid to fall for it, you deserve her!

Gail can't understand how the mistake was made and Nick is furious, as Lewis had hoped. Sure the olives will keep but it still costs him money up front. I love that they kept up the olives as a running joke! Lewis brings wine to soothe the emotional bruises and offers to make her lunch. He undermine her and thinks she should leave Weatherfield and leave the kids to their own. He propositions her...He brings up the hotel in Tuscany and asks her to come with him if he goes. She's thrilled with the offer but will she's not ready to take it yet even though he's admitting he's falling in love with her. Well he's not, but she doesn't know that. He knows he has planted a seed, though. It probably feels to her like she's being swept off her feet by a white knight.  Lewis... dig dig dig, eke away at Gail's confidence and pull down the walls of her life around her. He's so good at what he does and she'll falling for it hook, line and sinker. She ended up quitting her job in the middle of a row too and oh no! She's going to borrow against the house! He never suggested it but he's very glad she did.

Nick and Gail are still bickering about all and sundry - the olives, Leanne, you name it. Gail is way up on her high  horse about it all. Later in the cafe, while she's looking at the job ads, Eileen takes the mick out of her, having heard of the olive debacle. Gail is fed up with Weatherfield. Lewis soothes the savage breast. David and Nick try to get Audrey and Gail to make peace but fate has other plans. Audrey walked right in on Gail and Lewis in full cannoodle and that was it!

Anna has no idea that Faye snuck out but naturally, she went to check on her and found Faye's note. Well at least she did that. Meanwhile she's in a park meeting a balding older man. He tells her she's beautiful and takes her for a hot chocolate Is this an internet stalker? She even allows him to hug her! . Oh no!  Surely not! Anna finds the computer and the emails from Tim who's got a job on a building site. Doesn't sound like a lad, then. Oh the worry radar is blasting alarms and you can't blame them. Owen wants to go to the police but Faye comes home safe and sound. But it turns out, Tim is her biological father. I can't blame Anna for being concerned. She's not seen her dad since she was two. How does she know for sure it's really him? Faye's rather tall for a 10 year old isn't she? Her father has no rights over Faye but the Social is proceeding carefully. Owen, on the other hand, proceeds like a raging bull. Anna knew Owen threatened Tim and then she and Owen put Faye through the rigors, keeping her away from any communication with Tim at all. Guaranteed to drive her straight to him.

Looks like Tracy and Steve are soon to be divorced! I'm surprised Tracy didn't kick up too much. When has she ever listened to her parents?
