Corrie Canada Sneak previews for week of Jan. 12 - 16

Without further ado here is a brief sneak preview of what you'll see on  next week's Corrie in Canada.

David searches for Kylie. Callum pretends but he doesn't know where she is either. Sinead's fabric rescue skills are needed. Beth's family arrive and disapprove of Kirk who is gutted and makes a decision.

Luke and Maria's relationship moves slowly. Alya and Gary's is back on. Roy and Anna are still at odds. Michelle decides to date a client. Eileen and Andrea are shocked at the state of Streetcars' finances, thanks to Steve.

It seems that the CBC is moving the program to a slot an hour later, starting next week. Have they given any explanation as to why, and whether this is temporary or permanent? By the way, the CBC Corrie website seems to be pretty much ignored by them, except for online showing of the recent episodes. A consequence of budget cuts?

CBC has never bothered much with the Corrie website. As far as the new time slot, it's as permanent as anything else. If they want to change their lineup it could be moved again at some point. It'll be changed for the foreseeable future I guess. They didn't say why.

They are moving it after the repeated Murdoch Mysteries, so that Corrie fans may (but not this one) stick around on Monday to see the New Murdoch Mysteries, and possibly to have Corrie be a break between them. Bad move as far as I'm concerned, it was great having it right after the local weather segment here on The Island.

There was an announcement around Christmastime that the supper hour news time would change. I don't remember them saying when it would happen. The plan is to go back to one hour but later in the day so that would push Coronation Street later as well. I hadn't heard about moving because of Murdock Mysteries.

I notice that they do have the older Murdoch episodes scheduled for 6:30 next week and the new season at 8. I suppose it makes sense not to have old and new Murdochs back to back. People can get confused as to what they're watching i suppose.
