Fiz is sentenced and later, buries John. The funeral gets an unexpected interruption. Will John's confession change things? The reaction to John's death and confession is a mixed bag. Jeff helps Rosie cash in on the publicity and her family isn't best pleased, causing Sophie's birthday party to come apart at the seams. Meanwhile between Fiz in Priz, mounting debts and his beloved Schmeichel's illness, Chesney struggles to cope.
Chris moves into Jason's flat but Cheryl's feelings are conflicted. Can she stay away from her ex? Can Dr. Matt persuade Chris to tell the truth about his condition? Lloyd starts to suspect the truth, however and when he confronts Chris, Chris fights back with a truth of his own and it breaks Lloyd's heart.
Carla is struggling to keep the factory afloat and Frank's scheming to take business away is hurting. The finances hit the wall and Frank swoops in to nick some of the workers for his new set up. Michelle and Ciaran come back with news of their own but Michelle, seeing the state Carla's in, offers to take over to give her a break. Can Michelle keep things going? Michelle turns to someone who has no reason to help, but does anyway.
Faye's adoption is official but she's taken aback when she discovers Anna and Owen together and isn't happy about it. Paul shows up in Eileen's life again. Tina takes pleasure in winding up Kirsty. Brian's interest in UFOs gives Tommy food for thought.
