Sunday Comments February 3

Fiz and Tyrone are still sneaking around and Tyrone nearly got caught on the phone by Kirsty. She didn't seem suspicious which in itself is suspicious. Then she nearly found the secret mobile in the empty paint can. Yet another near miss. It has to come home to roost soon! Kirsty is getting excited about the wedding isn't she? In one way you got to feel sorry for her don't you? She should know better. Weddings are never straight forward on Corrie!

Meanwhile Ty and Fiz are scheming and planning. It's bound to go wrong, the odds are against it! Tyrone reckons he should sell his share of the garage and is giving Kevin first refusal. Kevin is dubious and isn't sure he has the cash. I know he bought number 13 but he had quite a winfall from the lottery. Still, he's got assets, the bank will probably lend it to him.Kevin's trying to wiggle out of a good offer as much as he says he's not.  Tyrone is keen to sell his share and there's no way that garage is worth only 15K overall. Tyrone can't say why he needs the money. Tyrone should have hired a valuator, too!

It's the day before the wedding and Kirsty is nervous and full of promises. Tyrone has all of his plans in place and is feeling a bit guilty just the same. Fiz doesn't feel one little bit guilty but then after Kirsty nearly took her hand off i can understand it. Kirsty came home early and Tyrone had to stash the throwaway phone behind the sofa cushion and wasn't able to retrieve it. Oh dear. After all these near misses, it's inevitable that Kirsty had to find out at the worst time. Right before the wedding with the hen night in the house and a hen found the phone. Tyrone's stag night was pretty somber and Kirk can't understand what's up. Kirk keeps adding to Tyrone's guilt by telling him what a good person he is.

Wow, great scene where Kirsty was reading all those messages on the phone and her world came down around her to the thumping sounds of the music, echoing her heart. She found texts and the photos of his bruises, the whole plot laid out in front of her. We actually felt a bit sorry for her. Poor Tyrone can't seem to get away to retrieve his phone and Lewis started him on the firewater and then the hen party descended and kept it going.  Kirsty nearly destroyed the evidence but no, it's more useful to her "alive" isn't it?

Kirsty went to Fiz pretending to hold out the olive branch. Boy, she's very good at it, isn't she? She even invited Fiz to the wedding! Fiz managed to keep her wits about her but was shocked at the invitation. It does sound like Kirsty wasn't to blame for the gas leak and it really was a mistake. Kirsty was incredible, she managed to keep her temper, and make herself believable and there was even a Judas kiss! She got outside and was shaking!

Tyrone got home to try to get the phone but Kirsty was there so he covered and she'd put the phone back so he doesn't know anything is wrong. She watched him put it back in the paint can. Kirsty told him she invited Fiz "for his sake", in the interests of peace. Tyrone doesn't understand and, bless him, doesn't see the next tram crash coming right at him. She sent him off not wanting bad luck on her wedding day. Ironic, much? And where is Tyrone spending the night? Surely not at Kirk's (with Maria, Beth, Craig, Marcus, Liam, Ozzy and the rat?)

And on the wedding day, the phrases of doom are being thrown at us nine to the dozen!

Don't you wish you could be Kirk? Nothing really upsets him overmuch and he's so optimistic and sweet. He's just bouncing about this wedding, proud to be best man and Tyrone and we all know it's going to turn out to be the worst day of his life, not the best after all the hard work he put into organizing things. But he hasn't counted on Hurricane Kirsty who just seems to be going through the motions getting ready, all her former excitement drained.

Tyrone is really feeling the pressure, you can tell. He's dreading the wedding and feels bad for what he's going to do to Kirsty but he knows he has to do it for Ruby. He also thinks it's a good idea for Fiz to be at the wedding. I'm not so sure! Kirsty is ready for a day that nobody will ever forget. She's got that right! Fiz came to the church as requested and everyone else is scandalized. Kirsty gets to the church and is a wreck. She knows she has something planned but isn't sure she can go through with it but everyone else just thinks she's got cold feet. But she gets in the church and gets to the altar and the ceremony begins. She's standing there trembling, watching Tyrone, watching Fiz. Tyrone looks the picture of dread too and when Kirsty stops the wedding by saying "No, I won't" and calls him on the secret lover, we're all waiting for it. Sure enough, a damning phone call to the lover's phone shows up Fiz's guilt. Great, GREAT way to do it rather than just pointing the finger, isn't it! STay tuned for Monday when we watch the fallout.

Was there ever any doubt that David would stop Kylie? Of course he found her and talked to her and that made it worse for her. Audrey has brought the news to the Bistro. Gail, naturally, thinks they shouldn't keep out of it and Audrey agrees but Nick doesn't. No surprise there. He looks relieved and hopeful all at the same time. Back at the clinic David begs, he pleads, they need to talk so she goes home with him. There's tears and recriminations. As much as he believes nothing will break them up, she knows very well he'd leave her if he knew about Nick. So by the end of this episode we still don't know what she's going to do. (there's an irony here. You all remember Martin running after Gail to persuade her! Go forward 20 years, will this baby push Kylie down the steps when he/she finds out she nearly had an abortion?) I feel so bad for David. He doesn't understand and she can't tell him the truth. Making out like she's struggling with motherhood probably is true as well. That's why she was reluctant in the first place.

Eva is right and Kylie knows it. she will lose everything if she goes through with it. Talk about rock and a hard place. Nick makes me so angry. I understand his concerns but he's just so selfish. Is it a good idea for Kylie to tell the truth? Probably, even if it does mean the end of everything. She thinks they might be able to work it out but we know what David's like. Unstable is the most kind thing you can say about him. Now Nick is too concerned that David will never forgive him. Aren't there dna tests you can get while you're still pregnant? Maybe not safe ones. Oh oh, there's that evil David look again. I think it was meant to be brokenhearted David but it looked very much like Evil David there for a minute until Kylie said she'd have it.

Now David is full of beans about the baby. Kylie isn't too keen for the whole world to know just yet but David told Tina straight away. It's too bad there's that one shadow hanging over it for her. Lewis is putting moving out ideas in Kylie's head. and David finally got permission to tell little Max. Kylie has taken Lewis' suggestion and sprung the move out plan on everyone but David took it in his stride and Kylie's right. They really do need their own place but Gail doesn't want to untie those apron strings does she? Lewis was pleased and it further isolates Gail from her family, more of his plan.

Dev really is concerned about Sunita and can see Karl is treating her like dirt. Sunita doesn't know who she is anymore. Neither do any of us! She knows Dev's right and thinks Dev is rubbing her nose in it but he's not.She finally can't fool herself any longer and she finally throws him out for good except he won't go! Everyone would have cheered except none of us care about Sunita anymore now that they've trashed her completely. She changed the locks instead and Karl almost roughed her up except Dev was there and stopped it. Karl seems to have found a floor to lie on at least and now he's trying to get his old job back, preying on Steve's sympathies. He's still sucking up to Stella and she's still got some sympathy for him so thought that a job would be good to keep him out from underfoot, that is. Thanks for the job, can you lend me 20 until payday!

Carla is putting the pieces of the puzzle together and they realize there has been a guest user in the system. Nice. Did nobody think to lock the computer and change passwords if they are both out of the office? Doh. Ah now we see that Rob is hacking into the Underworld computer right out in the open in the cafe where anyone, like Michelle, can walk in and catch him especially now that she and Carla already have it figured out. Gotcha! He walked right into the trap. He still says he's snagged some clients though i have no idea how he's getting the product made.

Carla's in a tizzy in the factory, trying to keep the factory going and Rob's interference is playing on her nerves. Sally is grumbling about Kirsty having the day off but if it were her, she'd be all over it. Sally's overheard some factory planning and is supposed to keep it to herself. Will she run to Rob? Yep, Rob is working on Sally's ego and she walked right into it. Rob stole the order and Sally realized what she'd done. I don't know why Carla didn't sack her then and there. She sacks people for far less. Most bosses would have. Carla is giving up and wants Rob back at the factory where she can keep an eye on him. Devil you know, etc. Rob is going to drive a hard bargain and negotiated to a 30% share. Just when she thought she had the place all to herself! Michelle was livid. All this acrimoney

Hayley's pleased that Roy managed to subsist with Mary by the end of the day and may even have made up their differences. I don't know how long that will last considering her tendencies to tyrancy. Roy is still tolerating Mary though it's not really back to the friendship they had before. Gail got caught up in another of Lewis' ongoing manipulations to drive a wedge between Gail and her family by making it look like she screwed up the olive order. Later she tries to seduce him and he slithers away, saying he wants it to be absolutely perfect with no time constraints hanging over them. I laughed at her asking "And when do you think that might be?" hopefully!

Uh oh. Tracy and Rob ended up in a cab, bickering and then making eyes at each other, flirting. You can see where this is going can't you? I can and I don't like it one bit but i suppose both of these characters, both of whom I can't stand, deserve each other. He's almost as bad a boy as Charlie Stubbs but without the violent and cruel streak. Will he be the one that finally lures her heart away from Steve? Not likely but he'll be a diversion. I mean, no spoiler, but you can see it as plain as the nose on your face.

Oh, that was a different camera angle, we saw more of the kitchen of the cafe when Fiz took the call from Tyrone. Tina's got another scan. She seems to be a bit more thoughtful, especially when David kept going on about not being able to give his baby away. And during the scan, she could barely look at the screen. Methinks she's definitely starting to bond with that little being. I thought Kirk's suit jacked looked big on him and it turns out it's Tyrone's? But he's lost weight and he's actually smaller than Kirk.

Why is Faye looking so excited with her laptop in front of her. Faye appears to be in trouble at school and is lying to her mom about completing schoolwork. Faye is sending emails to someone named Tim. What's that all about? Trying to sneak out didn't work but when Anna gave her an ultimatum about going to school or back to bed, she should have gone to school and skived!  She managed to skip out later though and caught a bus. Oh Dear!

Hi Tvor, I also thought David's look of heartbreak was the "evil David" look. But I think it was deliberate as an indicator that "heartbroken David" and "evil David" are separated only by one very flimsy hinge!

I have no doubt that if Kylie had decided to get rid of the baby, that Evil look would have preceded an unholy melt down!
