With thanks to @ianwylie on twitter for pointing out the missing apostrophe in the Happy Valentine's Day sign that's currently up in The Kabin on Corrie.
I'm surprised Norris hasn't been at that sign with his pen, colouring in an apostrophe. Didn't he once mention he belonged to the Apostrophe Protection Society?
It's not the first time that apostrophes have gone AWOL on Corrie.
The Weatherfield Gazette missed them out in these headlines
And Sally's superfluous here.

The omission of the apostrophy is intended by the writers. It sets the tone and gives the uninitiated a clue a to the level of discourse within the "Kabin "(Cabin is another example of the writers giving clues to the lack of sophistication in the environs). In the 'states they do the same kind of thing by spelling the holiday: Valentimes Day. The regional inaccuracies of the English language persist everywhere.
